Autumnal Liminality

It is Autumn now.

The frogs have ceased their choral song

The leaves have changed their colors, then made their way to soil, their energy now focused in their roots

And so must also the humans do

Mirrors of their surroundings

Turning toward the coming dark

In silence

Turning inwards

Stripped naked

Laid bare to themsleves in the dark and silence

All that they were too busy to see

In the light and busy noise of summmer.

Beware the call of the circles

The ones that throw us off our center

Enticing us to sit in guilt or longing or.......or.......or......

Replaying the mistakes and regrets

Like a bad movie we just can't help but watch.

Beware the call of the circles

Instead walk forward with the spirals

Not denying what experience has laid our path

No.

Not showing up again as playing the victim, who never takes responsibility and always points the blame

No.

To walk the path of spirals

We must see all

We must be all

A loving acceptance of self

A consciousness of how the choices have woven together

To bring us to the here and now.

The spirals embrace the darkness, the silence and the nakedness.

The acknowledgement of all parts keeps us centered

A stronghold in our life's devotion

What then could shake us? What then could draw us from our purpose?

Embrace the winter as it processes to our doorstep

As we turn towards the dark

In silence

Turning inwards

Stripped naked

Laid bare to ourselves.
